My Creative Side

My mom asked me what I did with my dining room now that I moved the table into the kitchen. From her reaction to my response, I think she was actually serious.

The answer to what did I do with my dining room is that I bought an easel and raised the lighting fixture up so that I could paint in there. My mom's reaction was "I didn't know you were artistic".

Poetry I've written has been published, the logo I designed is still being used by a major university, I painted my sister's walls and they are often mistaken for wallpaper. I'm not going to be doing any portraits, but I've had an eye for colors and flow for a while now...

How is any of this a surprise? I'm going to assume that the surprise is that I actually used a canvas and then gave the painting away.

Chilly

Got up this morning to a definite chill in the air. Unfortunately, I had remembered to flip the switch from "cool" to "heat", which means that there is something up with the HVAC unit and it'll probably cost a limb to fix or replace.

Timely Heat

Tomorrow will give new significance to TGIF. For those wondering, the 10+ year old system can either be fixed for over $1000 dollars or replaced. Since I've already done the fix version with the system and it lasted about 2 1/2 years, this time I'm clenching my teeth and going for a replacement.

Oh how the mundane has taken over my life...

The Heat is On

So Friday came & the heat is back. My wallet is much lighter. Saturday came & I got to play dress-up with ShaeSin, the groom's mom and another of Shae's attendants. If you didn't already know, ShaeSin is a knockout.

Cosmic "We told you..."

I have some reflection left to do, but I have the overwhelming feeling that someone is sitting on my shoulder, drumming their fingers and shrugging while saying "and this is a surprise why?"

But the weather has turned crisp, today is my sister-in-laws birthday and things are actually pretty good.

Know Your Role

Which Classic Story Role Do You Play? 1120501181_minioutlaw.jpg
- You Are The Outlaw
"Sure, I'll do it. My way."
Just because you do not conform to the same laws and rules as everyone else does not mean that you are a bad guy. You travel your own path, separate from those around you, with your own reasons for doing what you do. Because of this and your own nature, it goes without saying that you are generally misunderstood. That does not matter much, though, as people love you for being who you are. You are pretty well set in your ways and have no real intention of changing. This can come across as a flicker of arrogance if your not careful. You do what is right for you, and God help anyone who stands in your way.
Take this quiz!

Made me laugh

1. When you are sad - I will help you get drunk and plot revenge against the sorry bastard who made you sad.

2. When you are blue - I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.

3. When you smile - I will know that you got some.

4. When you are worried - I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse it could be and to quit whining.

5. When you are confused - I will use little words.

6. When you are scared - I will rag on you about it every chance I get.

7. When you are sick - Stay the hell away from me until you are well again. I don't want whatever you have.

8. When you fall - I will point and laugh at your clumsy ass.

This is my oath... I pledge it to the end. "Why?" you may ask. Because you are my friend.

Remember: A good friend will help you move. A really good friend will help you move a body. Let me know if I ever need to bring a shovel
